Senator Lamar Alexander Opens the East Tennessee Campaign HQ’s

Senator Lamar Alexander opened his East Tennessee Campaign HQ today at high NOON at 9119 Executive Park Drive in West Knoxville off Cedar Bluff Road. A crowd of over 500 attended and were treated to a FREE BBQ meal by L.B. Steele Catering. A sure way to get me to show up to any event is o tell me that L.B. Steele is providing the food. L.B. is a great guy, an excellent Caterer and has been loyal Republican nearly as long as I have.

The Senator arrived, visited and talked with a lot of people. Circuit Court Judge Harold Wimberly, Jr., Former City Councilman Don Ferguson and Scott Green, the Republican candidate for Knox County Criminal Court Judge on August 7 were three people that I caught in the photograph below.

The crowd in spite of the extremely hot weather enjoy the shade of the tent to enjoy their meals and the speeches.

My friends Former TN Republican Party Chair Susan Richardson Williams and former TN Republican Party First Vice Chair John K. King were in attendance. King has been a wise sage counsel for me over the years. I guess that just ruined his reputation.

The best quote of the Senator was regarding if this race gets close,

“I am gonna walk all the way back across the state. Because I can still do it.”

If you missed the event, because it was so warm or because you thought it was going to storm, or you had another event that conflicted with this event. Never fear, BrianHornback.Com is here. The Senator’s brief remarks were recorded and posted to youtube. We work hard to include you the readers in everything, even the Senator’s remarks as if you were there. You can’t get a video from the Big Metal Shed or from anyone of the several weekly throw away papers. Maybe off their websites, but not in their pages.

Could this video be an Exclusive? Maybe.

Forget the rest, when you already have the best.

Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett or any one from his office were not in attendance. Of course, in the Fall 2013 he supposedly flirted with the idea of challenging Alexander. I guess the idea that he would be scoreless with a selfie while there kept him away.
