Sanger Campaigns for School Board, Burchett No Shows at BBQ

With all the political folks like myself that are at the Duncan Family BBQ every other October, we know what it’s like and is fun catching up with folks. It is refreshing to see new candidate there talking to the attendees.

Tracie Sanger, Candidate for Knox County School Board Second District on November 4 was present and talking to voters, parents and community people.

Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett was a no show tonight, in a 2012 interview published in the Knoxville News Sentinel, Burchett said, “It’s a tradition, almost kind of a family reunion,” Burchett said. “If you want to be in political office in East Tennessee, you better be here.” Well, Senator Alexander and Corker were there, but TimmyB wasn’t. They don’t refer him as flip-flop for no reason. First he was for internet tax then he was against it, first he was against the James White Parkway expansion and then he was for it. In 2012, it was a must attend event, in 2014 not so much.
