Betty Bean, a stringer for the Shopper News (a publication owned by the Knoxville News Sentinel’s parent company) fails in her published facts. She says that the current Fourth District County Commissioner was arrested in the Spring of 2013. In fact his Sharp’s Ridge moment was in May of 2012 (after having been elected in August 2010, taking office in September 2010) After professing his innocence in June 2012, he appeared in court in May of 2013 and plead no contest (guilty). I am sure that’s where Bean’s memory got short circuited. The fact that his guilty plea was in May 2013.
