The Modern Day “Watchdog”

BrianHornback.Com will celebrate Twelve years of operation on August 9, 2016. On August 9, 2004 if you would have told me that this website would be as successful as it is or would have had to defend itself from a 2013 lawsuit, I would have never thought any of that would be likely.

This website began as a tool to communicate my views and help people navigate the bureaucracy that is government. Of course with that comes my straight talk, even the 2013 lawsuit hasn’t affected that as much as my haters would like for it to have changed. Actually, I believe some hoped I would simply close up shop. Thanks to Wayne Wykoff and Chris Ivy, both competent, experienced legal counsel that worked with me on my behalf my free political speech was protected and on 9/11/2015 the Sunmary Judgment ended a nearly two year battle.

Back nearly ten years ago, my friend Dewey Foust (he has gone home to heaven) was the first to describe me and this website as the modern day Cas Walker. Mr. Walker was a promoter and Grocery Store Entrepreneur back in the 1960’s through the 1980’s. His morning television show introduced Dolly Parton to the world.

Cas published a news print publication called “The Watchdog”. Now, that many others have made the connection that Mr. Dewey was the first to make, it makes sense to use images of “The Watchdog” mast head here in this post and maybe in marketing material to advertisers of BrianHornback.Com, history can and does repeat itself. So, it’s time to embrace being the modern day “Watchdog”.
