Did 2016 Not Teach Bob Thomas Anything?

The 2016 National election taught most of us that the people took back their government. The American people rejecting the Nancy Pelosi “we must pass Obamacare to understand it.” BUT now we have Knox County Commissioner at Large Bob Thomas and announced 2018 Knox County Mayor candidate publicly saying that the people may be opposed to it, but when the safety center is built and when Midway Business Park is built, the people will see they were wrong, the government was right and the people will love it.

That is NOT how it works! As a Commissioner you are using the peoples tax money and we the people don’t want it. Guess what, you are risking being the male version of Hillary Clinton, rejected by the voters in 2018.

Bob Thomas's quote. By the way Lakeshore was not then nor is it now in Rocky Hill. It is within a mile or two of Rocky Hill. Lakeshore was fenced in and a much larger piece of property than the neighborhood it is proposed for now.

The Safety Center in a residential community off Western Avenue is a misplaced location in my humble opinion. It should be located in close proximity to the Detention Facility on Maloneyville Road or the City County Building jail. If a residential area is preferred, why not in Westmoreland near the County Mayor’s residence, in South Knoxville near the City Mayor’s residence or near Commissioner Thomas residence in West Knoxville?
