Why does this not surprise me? When Ballard has lunch with Charlie and gets caught a supporter jumps ship. He has ran for everything else and lost. You have to love our Republican Party. What does this man know about the clerks office other than it pays a salary! He doesn’t even order paint at the jail but schedules a painting crew. This should be fun to see his platform…I’m Ivan and I want to be your commissioner no Mayor no I mean your court clerk. Connect the dots from the second floor to the main floor to L1. I needed a laugh today.
Who will join this race next…Scott “Scooby” Moore? Greg “Lumpy” Lambert? Tim Hutchison? Because these jokers along with Ivan were all part of the Black Wednesday gang and they all, with the exception of the former sheriff, work for the current sheriff. Funny how things like that happen around here in Knox Patch and the leeches that seem to show up when there is a chance to get back on the county payroll..and benefits!
I looked back over the Halls Republican Club videos which had everyone but Susano, who couldn’t have been out campaigning because it wasn’t during business hours. Possibly he was out drinking it up with the current clerk and discussing her roll in his office should THEY get elected. But I digress..I watched the videos again and couldn’t help but notice the difference in the 3. I don’t know where Scott Smith crawled out of..maybe he’s been spending too much time in those methadone clinics. But if he would just read the Tennessee Code, it plainly lays out the duties of the elected clerk in Title 18. I just breezed over it and funny there is no mention of drug counselor or social worker or interventionist for drug addicted juveniles. Is he confusing this office with the new Safety Center? If so maybe he should talk to Ivan and the other Black Wednesday boys and get the Sheriff to hire him to do something useful in that arena. His lunches with all the names of people he likes to throw out don’t seem to be helping either. Or he would know the administrative office of the courts is a support organization and not an enforcement of rules entity. Again, just a quick search of their site gives their mission statement. He should join Susano and Phil Ballard and Linda and Carla for their lunches at Wrights Cafeteria and learn how to be so slick and slimy that nothing will stick to ya.
If Don Ridings calling the office one of a “glorified secretary” wasn’t enough to show me he isn’t qualified for any position, it was him saying he “didn’t want to work for anybody else.” I think that’s the problem we’ve got now with the current clerk as she doesn’t think she works for anybody and she doesn’t show up or shows up late or does as she pleases. Last time I checked this office is funded by fees AND tax dollars from the county. So this office does work for somebody else..the people! Also, how will he devote his full time and attention to being a secretary when he’s running his 2 businesses on the side?
The only one who shows any aptitude for this job is Tim Wheeler. His talk at the meeting was the most direct about the every day goings on in this office and details of how each of the 4 different courts operate. He was also the most direct on how this office effects the tax payer whether or not ya actually walk into the courts or not. Unless it turns out that he has been a democrat all his life and voted that way in 90% of the elections LIKE SUSANO, then this is the republican who will get my vote.
