2018 is the year for political campaigns and elections. One position on the ballot is Knox County Circuit Court Clerk. A position that has been held by Clerk Cathy Shanks since 1998. Shanks is not running for re-election. One of the Republican candidates is Tim Wheeler. Wheeler a long time Republican activist is waging a competitive campaign. Wheeler has diverse experience in that he worked in the private sector, worked in the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office up to and including the position of Chief Deputy. He has been working in the private sector for the last several years as a funeral director and licensed embalmer.
