Matlock Leads Congressional Race in Cash on Hand

LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 31, 2018) – State Rep. and East Tennessee businessman Jimmy Matlock leads the race for the Republican Primary for U.S. House District 2 with $220,000 cash on hand at the end of 2017. Matlock reported raising $118,000 in the 4th quarter.

“On the heels of being endorsed by the Family Research Council Action PAC, I am extremely pleased that we are on track to have the resources necessary to win this Congressional seat. We are leading the race in cash available to spend and will be the first campaign to open a campaign office.”
Matlock for Congress is opening its Loudon County Campaign Office on Sunday, February 4th, from 4:00-7:00 pm at 131 Kelsey Ln, Ste 102, Lenoir City, TN 37772.
“It’s Super Bowl Sunday when we open the office, but I won’t be watching,” Matlock said. “Instead we will be taking donations for AmVets, the veterans organization that was shamefully denied by the NFL from advertising their message on the Super Bowl.”
Jimmy Matlock is the owner of Matlock Tire, which is in its 65th year in business, with locations in Farragut, Maryville, Lenoir City, and Athens. He has served as a State Representative, representing most of Loudon and Monroe counties since 2006. He and his wife, Dean, reside in Lenoir City and have three children – Lindsay, Joe, and Reagan.
