Congratulations to Judge Patricia Hall Long

Congratulations to Knox County’s NEW General Sessions Judge Patricia Hall Long. Long selected by 10 of the 19 Knox County Commissioners will serve on the bench vacated by now Criminal Court Judge Bob McGee.

Both Long and other appointee candidate Glenna Overton made the rounds to the various monthly meetings of the Republican clubs during the General election. Long will be the only female on the one of the five General Sessions Judges. Judge Brenda Waggoner served until early 2006. So this appointment brings diversity.

Long served nearly 14 years in private practice with my friend Jeff Hagood’s firm, Hagood, tarpy and Cox. She has experience in the Public Defender’s office and most recently served in the District Attorney Generals office. She has the most diverse experience.

Congratulations to Knoxville Vice Mayor Mark Brown for a good showing.
