Timmy was for them, before he was agin ‘em

UPDATE 2:45 pm, after reviewing this post. The attack by Tim and Andy appear to be a preemptive strike. Makes one think, what charges are coming out on Tim that he is trying to get cover from?

Original Post 1:35 pm The News Sentinel has a story about the former Chattanooga door delivery man now turned campaign manager for Tim Floyd Burchett filing a complaint on Jimmy Matlock’s business advertising over the last several months.

Well let’s see, in the last three months a nationally owned tire company just relocated in a building very close to the Farragut Matlock Tire Service location. Matlock Tire underwent a remodeling in Lenoir City and new competitive businesses have opened in Maryville and Athens, TN.

Now, before Andy (the campaign manager) starts pointing at the ads on BrianHornback.Com for Matlock Tire Service. Matlock Tire Sevice has been on here several years before Jimmy Matlock even considered running for Congress.

What is most interesting is that the Mayor was proud of Matlock Tire Service when it celebrated 60 years of business that October 17, 2013 was Matlock Tire Service Day in Knox County.

But things for Tim changed when Matlock decided to run for Congress. Also, the Mayor’s Chief of Staff on June 1, 2018 decided that a mega business conglomerate earned his business instead of a local family owned business. That can be his choice. Are his public positions (on Facebook) a reflection of his bosses position? The Chief of Staff is the #2 person.

That is my opinion and my take, here is the response of the Matlock Campaign on Andy’s complaint.

“This is exactly why people are so fed up with politics as usual and career politicians like Tim Burchett. Instead of debating the issues that matter to East Tennessee voters and explaining his liberal record, his campaign is attacking small business owners who serve our community with false claims. Unfortunately for Tim Burchett, voters see right through this kind of desperation, and it doesn’t change the fact that he voted as a legislator to raise taxes on hardworking Tennesseans while supporting a Democrat to lead the State Senate.

Matlock Tire makes business decisions independent of the political environment, something a career politician like Tim Burchett would never understand, and Matlock Tire running television advertisements is nothing new. The company is celebrating its 65th anniversary in the community and is advertising that similarly to their 60th anniversary – when Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett celebrated them with a proclamation.”

Facts:
• Bingham Group has not produced any television ads or placed any television buys for the campaign.
• Outlaw Media has produced our television ads.
• FlexPoint Media buys and places our radio and television advertisements.
