at 6 pm at the Burlington Branch Knox County Public Library, the East Knoxville Community Meeting held their July meeting. Tonight’s guest Speaker was Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs. Also, City Council candidate Charles Al-Bawi and Hubert Smith were in attendance. Al-Bawi is running for the Fifth District seat and Smith for the at Large Seat C seat.

Less than 3 miles away, at 6:30 pm at the Cansler Family YMCA, the Parkridge Community hosted a City of Knoxville Mayoral Forum. Candidates Fletcher Knoxville Burkhardt, Marshall Stair, Calvin Taylor Skinner, Indya Kincannon, Michael Andrews were present. Chris Barber, Field Director for Eddie Mannis represented Mannis who had a prior commitment.
Also in attendance were David Williams and Hubert Smith, candidates for City Council at Large Seat C. Lynne Fugate and Charles Lomax, candidates for City Council at Large Seat A. David Hayes, candidate for City Council at Large Seat B, Charles Al-Bawi, candidate for City Council Fifth District and City Councilwoman Lauren Rider.
