League of Women Voters to host mayoral and city council candidate forums Oct. 8 and 10

The Knoxville mayoral candidates and the city council candidates will participate in forums on Tuesday, Oct. 8, and Thursday, Oct. 10, respectively. Both forums will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Knoxville News Sentinel and will be moderated by WATE’s Blake Stevens. These forums are co-sponsored by Centro Hispano, the Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Knoxville Chapter of the NAACP, the Greater Knoxville Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Knoxville Area Urban League Young Professionals, National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. and the Knoxville News Sentinel. The candidates will be available for interviews immediately following the forum.

Knoxville Mayoral Candidates Indya Kincannon and Eddie Mannis on Tuesday October 8th; 6:30 – 8:00 pm

City Council Candidates Lynne Fugate, Charles F. Lomax Jr., David Hayes, Janet Testerman, Amy Midis, Amelia Parker, Charles Al-Bawi and Charles Allen Thomas on Thursday October 10th; 6:30 – 8:00 pm 

both forums at the Knoxville News Sentinel Building, located at 2332 News Sentinel Drive, in Knoxville, TN
