Laura Bush fundraises for Corker in Knoxville

First lady Laura Bush travelled to Knoxville today to promote local Helping America’s Youth activities that support at-risk young people. She then attended a $1,000-a-person fundraiser for Republican Senate candidate Bob Corker.
The event is expected to raise more than $500,000.
Indicating the national interest in Corker’s battle against Democrat Harold Ford Jr., President Bush already has attended two fundraisers for the former Chattanooga mayor. By Duncan Mansfield.
