Seat A – Democrat incumbent Mark Cawood was un opposed on the ballot or by write-in. There were 861 votes cast in the Sixth district Democrat primary. Cawood only received 700 of them. Republican Sixth District School Board Member Chuck James was challenged on the ballot. Chuck James was successful in getting the Republican nomination with nearly 61% of the vote or 1469 votes. Seat B – This race is for the seat that Commissioner Larry Stephens is vacating. The Republican primary pitted three Republicans against one another. Greg Lambert won the close contest. The Democrats had two candidates, Margaret Massey-Cox was victorious.
