County Commissioner Kyle Ward the First to Announce Candidacy for Knox County Republican Chairman

Rumors were circulating yesterday and today that Knox County Fourth District Commissioner Kyle Ward is a candidate for Knox County Republican Party Chairman. The reorganization will be February 18, 2023 at the Crown College of the Bible.

Reaching out to Ward for confirmation tonight, he has responded and confirmed. ”I can confirm that I am running to be the next county chairman for the Republican Party and that Congressman Burchett and Mayor Jacobs separately encouraged me to do so.”

Ward went on to say, ”Knoxville deserve a chairman with experience in the board room as a ceo and the experience as a candidate and as an elected official. I possess the unique combination of both skill sets and experiences. I look forward to having the opportunity to serving the Republican party.”

The positions of Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer will also be elected on that day to serve with eventual next Chairman. The six elected Republican State Executive Committee members in TN District 5, 6 and 7 are on the County Executive Committee by their positions. Those six members are Anderson County Mayor Terry Frank, Tim Hutchison, Jane Chedester, Brian Hornback, Karen Brown and Kent Morrell.
