According to the Knox County Schools website there is ONE Custodian vacancy. Last night, as Superintendent Jon Rysewyk announced he was pulling the contract with Duncan and Sons for a month. He shared with the board the current head count. I will share where the vacancies are. Then together we can determine if it is ONLY the 11 schools of Karns, Hardin Valley and Farragut.

So, while I have provided constructive information about outsourcing. As soon as I knew where the vacancies were, I am attempting to help. If the money invested in the “supplemental custodial servicing” were invested into the current and future custodians. Knox County Schools (in my humble opinion) could do better, longer.
