It is important that everyone that has an interest in a NEW West Knox County High School, begin to contact the current members of the Knox County School Board today. If we don’t act today, the $27.0 million in New dollars will be spent elsewhere
Though I’d concede that a new school is needed in West Knox County, what is the sudden urgency? Why are we taking $12 million dollars from the Sheriff’s budget to fund it?
A new school is needed, but not if it directly impacts the Sheriff’s ability to protect the public. I believe we should hear from him on this issue.
Ok. But the children need to be educated before we just simply arrest them all.
I doubt the Sheriff is arresting all the kids in West Knox County… My only concern is that in regards to this new high school that we’re moving at the whims of the political winds, especially in taking money away from the Sheriff’s budget.
Of course, if school board members and county commissioners weren’t taking trips across country to “conferences,” we most certainly could have built this new school years ago.
