Zachary Gets Support from Farragut Gun Club and his Opponent’s Lack of Record Gets Exposed

The letter below was published in today’s Knoxville News Sentinel here. Jason Zachary has been endorsed by the TN Right to Life, Farragut Gun Club. Mailings from Tennessee Federation for Children PAC and the AFP-TN in support of Zachary.

Zachary’s opponent has only received the News Sentinel endorsement, a rookie State Senator and a few of the many school board colleagues that she has served with the past 11 years.

The letter writer Bill Johns is someone that he and I have agreed with one another on issues and we have been in disagreement on issues. However, his Conservative bonafides can NOT be questioned. He has been on the front line in most Conservative battles, I know because I have been there too. Jason Zachary’s opponent wants to be a show horse, just show up for the ribbon cutting and diploma handing outs and NOTHING more. Well, she likes to travel. 34 trips, 7 states and the District of Columbia in 11 years.

Carson lacking in Republican record

It is proven through voting records and News Sentinel interviews that Karen Carson is not a life-long Republican. This was evident during my tenure as president of the Concord-Farragut Republican Club when I was an active member in the mid-2000s. Carson was present at any Tennessee Conservative Union functions that I attended during my active five years. In addition, as a former vice president and consultant for our 16-county economic development group, author of Farragut’s first comprehensive strategic economic development plan and founder of one of our region’s largest entrepreneur groups, I can report that Carson does not have any experience with economic development and entrepreneurship.

Furthermore, not only am I the founder of the Farragut Gun Club, our region’s largest gun club advocacy group, but I have been involved in Second Amendment advocacy here in East Tennessee since 2000 and the state since 1988. I can report that Carson’s Second Amendment advocacy record is nonexistent.

As a result, for the Republican primary, there is only one candidate who is a verifiable Republican, conservative, small-business owner, entrepreneur and, most importantly, a Second Amendment advocate who is also the endorsed candidate of the Farragut Gun Club. This candidate is Jason Zachary, and I ask you to support and vote for him in the Republican Primary on Aug. 12.

  1. When will they learn? says:

The RINO crowd is really nervous about this District 14 election. Check out the KNS desperate Editorial this morning: http://www.knoxnews.com/opinion/editorials/editorial-14th-district-urged-to-boost-voter-turnout_21162165

“A small group of self-appointed elites will end up selecting the representative for the 14th District seat in the Tennessee House of Representatives.”

Who in the hell are they talking about? If the RINO crowd is this nervous, Jason Zachary may win. One other thing, Richard Briggs still does not live in the Senate District he represents. This is the RINO way.
