Kuhlman Recruits Known Democrat as Precinct Chair and Submits a Precinct List Contrary to the Real One

According to sources in the Knox County Republican Party, Former Failed County Commission Candidate Ruth Kuhlman and Candidate for Chair of the Knox County Republican Party has turned in a precinct list for Precinct 16. The list she turned in list Nick H. Cazana (Disclaimer: this is not the successful businessman Nick Cazana) as the Precinct Chair. Cazana was an Independent candidate for State Representative challenging Democrat Gloria Johnson and Republican Gary Loe in November of 2012. Former Republican State Representative Joe Burchfield is the Chairman of precinct 16 two years ago and has served as Chairman of the precinct since his service as State Representative ended in the early 1990’s.

Chairman Burchfield appointed another person (NOT Ruth Kuhlman) to conduct the reorganization over the phone like all other precincts were reorganized during the snow last Thursday night. Kuhlman evidently believing that if she turns in the list before the other list that her stacked committee led by a person that voted in 19 NINETEEN over 18 EIGHTEEN YEARS as a DEMOCRAT.

It should be noted that Ruth Kuhlman turned in a sheet for precinct 16 a precinct that she is NOT a property owner or currently registered to vote. She is a property owner and registered voter in precinct 24Q

Here are the Democrat primaries Cazana has voted in.

August 2008 in the Hillary Clinton -v- Barack Obama primary
February 2008
May 2006
August 2006
February 2004 (against George W. Bush)

August 1998
August 1996
May 1994
August 1994
March 1992
August 1992
May 1990
August 1990

The Committee list that Kuhlman submitted is

Nick Cazana, Chair
Ann K. White
Dwayne T. Hammond
Gregory A. Bell
Floyd L. Patty

She did not submit Joe Burchfield or Gary Loe’s names on her stacked list. However, there is a list that was reorganized like all other precincts were reorganized last Thursday. Multiple sources indicate that the TN Republican Party has been alerted and the Knox County Republican Party reorganizes and operates under the state party bylaws.

By the way, longtime bona fide Republican activist Buddy Burkhardt and John Gabriel are running for Chairman as well. They are NOT participating in any back room, smoke filled shenanigans like Ruth. It seems that Saturday could be Black Saturday for the Knox County Republican Party.

Sounds like par for the course for Knox County politics. Can we get a little change?
