Second District School Board Candidates on WBIR’s Inside TN

The three candidates for the remainder of Second District School Board Member Indya Kincannon’s term appeared on WBIR’s Inside Tennessee. The program aired today at 9:30 a.m., it was likely recorded on Thursday evening.

Charlotte Dorsey, a retired Knox County School Administrator (Bearden Elementary Principal) provides a perspective as an experienced educator and supervisor within the system.

Jamie Rowe, a community activist that has been active in North Knoxville zoning issues and storm water run off from a select development or two.

Tracie Sanger, a former seven year teacher with the Knox County School District. Currently an Adjunct Professor at Tusculm College. Sanger has been very involved at Shannondale Elementary with the Parent Teacher Organization. Her leadership as President of the Shannondale Education Foundation, helped to support the school. Sanger is the only candidate with kids currently enrolled in the Knox County School District.

Early Voting begins October 15 – 30, 2014 with Election Day on November 4, 2014. The candidate with the most votes, (simple majority) wins. The position will be back on the ballot in 2016.
