Why is the Weekly Shopper so Weak?

Primarily because the Editor/Publisher who has biases surrounds herself with a writer that conflicts itself by throwing money at candidates and writing, writing, writing about who it supports monetarily. Tomorrow night that writer will be the Speaker at the Halls Republican Club. Should be a good story tomorrow night.

Then another writer that just makes stuff up. Like this, “When County Commissioner Brad Anders, who is exploring a race for county mayor, took himself out of the running to become commission chair, a story started circulating that he did so because he’s under consideration for the job of E-911 director.

“That’s the first I’ve heard of it,” said Anders, a captain with the Knoxville Police Department who serves on the E-911 board. “I don’t think it looks right for me to be on the board and try to get the job. But I wouldn’t say a flat no. Maybe I’m the best guy for the job – but the timing just isn’t right for me.””

Commissioner Brad Anders was NEVER a candidate for Commission Chairman in 2016. It is just like when she wrote that Republican candidate Michael Covington wanted to rescind a voting rights law. Covington corrected her and Sandra Clark allowed him to  correct the writer. The writers defense to Convington and Anders is that is what she heard. Funny how she can’t remember where she heard it.

This blog faced a two year court battle and had I said I couldn’t remember where I heard it, a Summary Jusgement in my favor would not have happened on 9/11/2015. And that is why the Shopper News has earned the moniker Slopper News. Because nothing is documented  and defendable.
