Friday Funny, Zachary and His Appetite for Something More

It is not even the two year anniversary of Jason Zachary’s first win in a Special Election to be the State Representative of House District 14. So, after serving two legislative years, it’s the equivalent of one term.

Jason Zachary

Now, after BrianHornback.Com reported last night that Sheriff Jimmy JJ Jones will not be a 2018 candidate for County Mayor. Zachary is ready to tell the constituents of House District 14, Take This Job and Shove It. When Country music star Johnny Paycheck made that song popular, he worked for 15 years.

Zachary is the text book definition of a political opportunist. He can be compelled to jump at an prospect of a job at the promise of the smallest amount of money.

Zachary has NOT just settled into his position in Nashville, representing his district. He has questionable votes that are in the file for his reelection in 2018. BUT, he apparently won’t be running for reelection. BUT, they can be used in a Mayor’s race.

Since Zachary ran for Congress and State Representative, he has left his membership at First Baptist Concord. A large congregation that he tried to capitalize for his favor.

If he runs for County Mayor it will be his third aspirational attempt in 24 months. Political Opportunist, he is.

i suspect County Commissioner Brad Anders may get in the County Mayor race and of course Former Knox County Property Assessor Phillip Ballard is looking for a new gig. With 5 or more candidates, Former County Commissioner Scott Moore could enter the race, with his grassroots organization, he could be successful in a crowded field.
