Elvis, Strait to Jesus by Tony Brown

Tony Brown started as a piano player for his Evangelist Preaching Dad and the singing Brown family. He wound up with Elvis, playing piano with J.D. Sumner and his career took off.

He spent a lot of his 40 plus years at MCA Nashville where the label was the Country Music label of the Year for 10 years aka a decade during Brown’s time there.

But Country is not all Brown has touched, Cyndi Lauper, Lionel Ritchie and many others.

This book is not a typical autobiography. It it filled with pictures of everyone he has worked with and it is a coffee table book. Mine will likely remain out in my office.

It is almost as if you are walking through the Country Music Hall of Fame, each couple pages is another artist. If you are a music fan, you need this book. Check it out at Hachette Book Group here.
