Last night the Center City Conservatives GOP had the September meeting. State Representative Eddie Smith was the Speaker. Also, Michael Hensley, Field Director for Marsha Blackburn was present and Luke Anthony, Field Rep for Bill Lee represented their bosses. David Williams of the Pond Gap community mentioned the large apartment complex that is proposed along two lane Hollywood Road that the City of Knoxville will be voting on. Additionally, we had a couple of unique guests (a reporter and photographer working with the Washington Post)
Last week, the Powell Republican Club voted to contribute to Eddie Smith’s campaign. Powell Republican Club President Dan Raper presented that contribution to Smith. Additionally, the Center City Conservatives voted to contribute money to Smith’s campaign through the Knox County Republican Party.
