When You Are In a Corner, By Yourself

Loudon County has been a mess since 2019. Republican County Commissioner Julia Hurley purchased a home for investment purposes just outside her district, still maintaining her sole residence. I am told that the Loudon County Commission was convinced by one Commissioner to challenge Hurley’s residence, so they did.

The TN Bureau of Investigations came in at the request of District Attorney Russell Johnson gathered information. During the courts COVID shutdown, I am told that Johnson filed a lawsuit that was eventually heard today 12/21/2021.

In the News Herald, DA Johnson said he was looking forward to putting the proof and consequences on and getting the Judges ruling.

Today, the proof and consequences apparently did NOT meet the law. DA Johnson lost to Hurley and her legal counsel T. Scott Jones. So now the Loudon County taxpayers will have to foot the bill for ALL the Commissioners and the DA filing a court action that used dollars, the courts time, the process servers time, the witnesses time. JUST A BIG OLE WASTE OF EVERYONE’S TIME and MONEY.

Okay, carry on nothing else to see here.
