Knox County Schools Down to Two Superintendent Applicants

On Monday, February 14, Knox County Schools received a notification from Kirk Shrum that he will n longer be a candidate in the district’s superintendent search process.

Shrum is the Chief School Leadership Officer for Henry County Schools, in McDonough, GA. he was one of three finalists who were scheduled to participate later this week in a community meeting and interview process as part of KCS superintendent search. 

 

The remaining finalists are: 

Dr. Linda Cash, Director of Schools, Bradley County Schools in Cleveland, TN and 

Dr. Jon Rysewyk, Assistant Superintendent and Chief Academic Officer, Knox County Schools

The remaining finalists will participate in a community meeting at 6 p.m. on February 17, 2022 at Bearden High School, 8352 Kingston Pike. That meeting is open to the public and community members cam submit questions to the candidates using this link
