a Week Later….. Stidam was Terminated by KCSO

Last Monday March 21, 2022 the clock began ticking on an Open Records Request I sent a week ago yesterday March 20, 2022 to Knox County Sheriff’s Office on Officer Tim Stidam. TN Law allowed them to keep working until Wednesday March 30.

My sources indicate Stidam’s last date of active employment was March 15 or 16, 2022. At 2:39 pm today March 28, 2022 I received the personnel file, have not reviewed it yet.  At 4:10 pm today,  I received the following on behalf of Kimberly Glenn with KCSO.

A year ago in January 2021, Stidam was surrounded by KCSO as they supported him as his wife as she suffered from COVID.

January 21, 2021 KCSO expressed their condolences as she passed away leaving Officer Stidam and their children.

If memory serves me correctly and my sources were true then, I believe Stidam was a responding officer to a inter-department traffic accident.

Nothing excuses what may have occurred and I am sure District Attorney General Charme Allen will review the allegations, the investigation, (which in my humble opinion should not have taken KCSO Office of Professional Standards 9-10 days to conduct) and any circumstances that led to the situation.
