Five Apply for the Knox County Criminal Court Judge Position

On September 1, 2022 Knox County Criminal Court Judge Kyle Hixson becomes a member of the TN Court of Criminal Appeals. So, applications have been received by 5 interested Attorneys that will be interviewed by the TN Trial Court Vacancy Commission. After the interviews, the Commission will select three (3) and then TN Governor Bill Lee will select 1 of the 3. There is a possibility in law that the Governor can say he wants three more, but that happens rarely. It has not happened with Lee that I am aware of.
