the Rest of the Knox County Lincoln Day Dinner …

Last night, I posted the key note speech from United States Congresswoman Lauren Bobert of Colorado. If you did not see that post, here is the link to the video.

Now, Knox County Republican Party Treasurer Janis Crye and Secretary Rob Gray carried most of the load on organizing and running the show.

When it was first announced, I didn’t know who Bobert was, so I googled her. I do not live on National TV News or keep up on the pulse of the Washington, DC beltway.

When Knox County Republican Party Chairman Daniel Herrera allowed me to break the news of the event, multiple media people texted me asking are you really bringing Bobert. I told them, I didn’t know who she was and had to google her.

I am told there were people who didn’t know who Charlie Kirk was last year, that did the same thing.

Anyway, I came to realize Bobert is the Conservative yIng to the AOC yang, when I messaged that to someone earlier today. They sent me a screenshot where Bobert had a dress and was trolling AOC. Haters gonna Hate, Trolls gonna Troll, I reckon.

Last night was the first of two Tennessee events for the Congresswoman and her husband, Jason. Tonight, they have an event in Nashville.

On with last nights show….

First the Knox County Sheriff’s Color Guard presenting colors, the Pledge to the Flag and the National Anthem, here.

Second, our Former Congressman Rep. John J. Duncan, Jr. blessed the food, here.

Congressman Tim Burchett presented a framed picture that he had taken of Duncan on the House Floor sitting with his former colleague and friend Rep. Hal Rogers, here.

Knox County Republican Party Chairman Daniel Herrera spoke briefly about the past year and a half and about more to come, here. Secretary Gray was the MC of the program last night.

Congressman Burchett’s brief remarks and introduction of Congresswoman Bobert, here.

So, give Bobert credit the Republicans raised significant money for the parties continuing efforts, because of her trip. Chairman Matt Shears and the Knox County Democrats raised money off her visit.

Many of the local officials were there, Mayor Jacobs, Sheriff Spangler, Trustee Biggs, Property Assessor Whitehead, County Commission Vice Chair Hill, County Commissioners Lee, Oster and Ward. Criminal Court Clerk Hammond, Public Defender Lutton, Judges McMillan and Ailor, School Board Vice Chair Henderson, Loudon County School Board Member Browder, State Rep. Wright and his lovely wife Mrs. Pat, State Reps. Lafferty, Zachary. State Rep. candidates Davis and Pozy.

Many elected officials of the female gender turned out for Bobert. That was pleasant to see.
