The Republicans that Broke Away from the Caucus on the Expulsions, Independent Thinkers? Doesn’t Play Well With Others?

The Republicans that didn’t vote for expulsion on one, two or all three expulsions on Thursday. I received the Lowell Russell explanation and posted it here. I then took the list and perused Twitter, (not exactly where you find all press releases, statement) But where else can a blogger from the TN Valley go?

Rep. Charlie Baum of Rutherford County voted no to expulsion of all three, Baum is the sole no vote for Rep. Justin Jones. I do not locate a twitter presence for him.

Rep. John Gillespie of Shelby County voted on on Rep. Justin J. Pearson, they both are colleagues as part of the Shelby County delegation. Gillespie has a twitter here, but no statement of explanation for his vote is posted there.

Rep. Bryan Richey of Blount County voted no on Rep. Pearson and Rep. Gloria Johnson, I did not locate a twitter presence for him.

Rep. Mike Sparks of Rutherford County voted no on Rep. Johnson, I did not locate a twitter presence for him.

Rep. Jody Barrett of Hickman, Lewis and part of Dickson County voted no Rep. Johnson, he has a Twitter here. Barrett did post his press release/statement and it is below.

Rep. Rush Bricken of Coffee and Grundy Counties voted no on Rep. Johnson, I did not locate a twitter presence or a statement for him.

Rep. Sam Whitson of part of Williamson County voted no on Rep. Johnson, I did not locate a twitter presence or a statement for him. In this post of mine the night before the expulsion day, I refer to a comment Whitson made about the expulsions making the three martyrs. That quote is here from the day before my post in the Tennessee Lookout, in context, he was asking the Democrats to discipline them or the GOP would and that would make the three Representatives martyrs.

Rep. Lowell Russell of parts of Loudon and Monroe Counties voted no on Rep. Johnson, he has a twitter here and posted his press release in addition to emailing it to me.

It would be great to get statements from the Republican Representatives that voted to expel the three, the ones that didn’t ask questions during the expulsion hearing and cast votes to expel all three with explanations for each of the three expulsion votes.
