The TN Legislature is BAAAACK

Today both TN State House and TN State Senate opened up the 2024 sessions. Of course the two Justin’s were back trying to provoke Speaker Cameron Sexton and the Clerk by asking overly broad questions and parliamentary inquiries.

What I learned is media and lobbyist can get tickets to sit on one side of the gallery upstairs. So, when my day job boss and I go over for Session, I need to contact Speaker Sexton for a media ticket so that BrianHornback.Com can be “in da house.”

The House has a new member, Rep. Aftyn Behn. Behn was elected last year to complete the term of Rep. Bill Beck after his untimely death.

The Senate had an Admiral beginning, the Farragut High JROTC was the color guard. The Farragut High Advanced Choir performing the National Anthem.

Our neighboring Blount, Monroe, Polk and part of Bradley (District 2) Senator Art Swann announced he would not be seeking re-election this year. Senator Becky Massey (District 6) as many other Senators had great remarks for Sen. Swann.

My friend Commissioner of Finance Jim Bryson and his team presented to the Senate Finance Ways and Means.
