Massey is a wife to Morton, mother of two Courtney and Kristen and grandmother to Bailey. The Massey’s are members at NewLife Gathering Church.

Massey is a successful businesswoman as Former Sertoma Center Executive Director for 25 years where she Managed $9 million budget and over 200 employees, Served over 100 adults with disabilities. Providing Vocational and Life Skills Training, Employment and Housing. Massey has served as Dogwood Arts Festival Events Director. Massey has been American Savings and Loan Vice President and Walters State Community College Adjunct Professor.

Massey is a dedicated Community Leader serving on Board of Directors (current and former) Habitat for Humanity State Board; University of Tennessee College of Nursing; Tennessee Community Organizations: Past President of Akima Club of Knoxville, Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee, Overlook Mental Health Center, UT Knoxville Alumni Chapter, Dogwood Arts Festival: Co-Chair 1992 Festival. Massey has also served with Leadership Tennessee, Leadership Knoxville, Knoxville Downtown Sertoma Club, Rocky Hill Girls Softball Coach, Rocky Hill PTA, Girl Scouts Leader, Republican Executive Committee, Republican National Convention Delegate: 1992 and Alpha Omicron Pi Outstanding Alumnae.

Massey’s Family Legacy is second to none, Becky grew up in Holston Hills where the Duncan family always participated in service to help their community. Her late father, John J. Duncan Sr., served as Mayor of Knoxville from 1959-1964 and as a U.S. congressman from 1964-1988. Her brother, John J. Duncan Jr., also served as a U.S. congressman from 1988-2018. The Duncan family have continued to devote a life of service to their community, their state and their country.

Serves as Chair: Knox County Delegation. Is Chair: Arts Caucus. Serves as Women in Government State Director. Serves as Vice Chair of NCSL Labor & Economic Development Committee. Is a Member: Council of State Government Finance Committee. Serves NCSL Maternal and Child Health Fellow. Is a Henry Toll Fellow. Serves on National Taskforces: Workforce Development for People with Disabilities, Stay at Work/Return to Work, The Future of Work.

Massey has earned numerous Legislative Awards: Advocates for Women’s and Kids’ Equity, Girl Scouts Trefoil Society Honoree, Rural Health Association, Mental Health Champion, TN Primary Care Association, AARP Capitol Caregiver, Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association, The ARC Tennessee, Connecting for Children’s Justice, Tennessee Disability Coalition Hero, Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police, Tennessee Cancer Coaltion and Disability Rights in Tennessee.

Massey is on the ballot August 1, 2024 in the Republican Primary in TN State Senate District Six.
