On Friday the media that receive email notices from County Commission received a copy of Richard Briggs resignation from County Commission, effective Monday November 10. The Knox County Election Commission has not met and certified the results from the Tuesday November 4 election and normally does not until 14-21 days after the election. In talking with Hubert Smith of The Hubert Smith Radio Show and the CTV Television Show, One on One with Hubert Smith. We were discussing what would happen if something is revealed that prohibits the Election Commission from certifying the State Senate Seventh District results. Similar to how challenges are being filed on how the Amendment results wer counted. Then Briggs would be out of both. Just a thought.
