City of Knoxville Hosted a City Council District Two Meet & Greet Tonight

This afternoon at 5:30 p.m. Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero along with many Knoxville Special Events employees gathered up some Little Caesars pizza, some doughnuts along with some waters and hosted the candidates for Knoxville City Council District Two. The meet and greet was at Deane Hill Recreation Center. All four candidates for City Council District Two attended, Brandon Bruce, Wayne Christensen, Andrew Roberto and David Williams.

Roberto had a good show of support from the few Knox County Democrat Party faithful in attendance as well as a few organized labor folks all wearing Roberto shirts. It was pointed out to me that Roberto’s logo is similar to Knox County Commissioner Hugh Nystrom. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery, I hear.

I did not get to stay for the speeches, cause I had to get out to Halls Republican Club, but I am sure BackroomKnox will have some videos, if he doesn’t already.
