All of Knox County Needs to Demand that Lonsdale Elementary be a Legitimately Safe Environment

This afternoon, a mom and a staff member came to the Knox County Commission with concerns about Lonsdale Elementary School and recent safety issues for the 400 plus students plus faculty and staff. So it’s fair to say 500-600 human beings.

At a recent School Board Meeting I heard the Superintendents designee say it was a small amount of a gas leak. EXCUSE me there is NO safe level of gas, just a few years ago a subdivision only a few miles from my home was a house and three family members lives ended because of a gas leak combined with a spark. Look up Whittington Creek.

As always, I take you there. Watch the mom, the staff person and then the School districts excuse and down playing of the danger with a County Commissioner asking the questions and establishing the timeline.

How would Central office feel if a minuscule amount of gas is pumped into their office. How would the School Board feel to have a minuscule amount of gas pumped into their board meetings, I believe all citizens would agree with me no amount of gas or poison should be allowed to be exposed to our children.
