Who Did the TNGOP and the TNDP Kickoff? Neither Should Criticize the Other, In My Humble Opinion

The Tennessee Democrat Chair followed her State Executive Committee and disqualified longtime State Representative John J. Deberry, Jr. from the ballot for TN House District 90. According to the list on the state website, that leaves three candidates Torrey C. Harris, Anya Parker and Catrina Smith provided none of those three withdrew from the race today at noon.

The Tennessee Republican Chair after a three hour contentious conference call meeting on Saturday with his State Executive Committee disqualified the following;

United States Senate ballot, Dr. Byron Bush, Roy Dale Cope, Terry Dicus, Jim Elkins and Johnny (JJ) Presley.

United State House of Representative District One Nichole Williams

United States House District Three Sandy Casey, Jim Elkins and Basil Marceaux I leaving Chuck Fleischmann unopposed.

United State House District Nine Charles L. Shappley leaving Charlotte Bergmann unopposed in the Primary.

TN State Senate District 32 Scott Throckmorton leaving Paul W. Rose unopposed.

Deberry drew the ire for his pro-life and pro voucher positions. Now while I wouldn’t agree with the position of disqualifying Deberry and in fact the TNDP Chair believes as she stated in a recent tweet to a fellow Dem that little ole me is mean. In no way in my humble opinion should any Republican jump into the Democrat fray when in fact the Republican leadership has left Eddie Mannis on the Republican ballot for TN House District 18, when Mannis endorsed and contributed to Democrat Rick Staples in 2018, endorsed and contributed to Democrat Karl Dean over Republican Governor Bill Lee, contributed to the Knox County Democrat Party, served as the campaign Treasurer for two term Democrat Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero from January 16, 2014 through July 9, 2018 and he cast a Democrat ballot on February 25, 2020 for the March 3, 2020 Democrat Primary.
