Good Riddance…..

So the daily paper on Friday morning had a front page story on former Mayor Tim Burchett’s Chief of Staff leaving the Republican Party.

Former Mayor Tim Burchett and his Mayoral Chief of Staff

First, the timing of this story was not lost on me. It was the same day of the Knox County Republican Party’s Lincoln Day Dinner. The party’s most successful fundraiser in several years. The same event that Civil Right Violator Victor Ashe has authored several daily paper columns about the cost and expense of the dinner.

Mancini and two (assumed) democrat observers ask Cliff Rodgers to go back trough and double check all ballots in District 13 have been pulled. Rodgers agreed. Roberto observes conversation.

Former TN Democrat Party Chair Mart Mancini and two (assumed) democrat observers ask Cliff Rodgers to go back trough and double check all ballots in District 13 have been pulled. Rodgers agreed. Andrew Roberto observes conversation.

They also rehashed how Cliff Rodgers former Knox County Administrator of Elections announced his departure from the party as well.

Well the daily paper has a data base that shows the salaries of Knox County employees in 2018. I took screenshots, in the event after this post, they decide to remove the database.

Burchett’s former Chief of Staff in 2018 had a published salary of $173,503 times 8 years is a salary of $1,388,024 plus/minus (not including benefits)

In 2018, Rodgers had a published salary of $136,301.88 times 9 years is a salary of  $1,226,716.92 plus/minus (not including benefits)

Both of these persons had these positions in part due to their political allegiance.

Now, I’ve been active in political activities since 1982, I have voted Republican since November 1984, my first election as an 18 year old. I have never missed an election, have always cast a Republican Primary ballot.

There are Republicans I don’t care for (both unelected and elected) There are plenty of Republicans (unelected and elected) that don’t care for me. However, I am not going to allow one person (whether it may be a former President) or more to cause me to leave the party of Business Entrepreneurship, Low Tax, Protection of Human Life.

If someone or the two referenced above are willing to leave over a personality, they were not committed anyway. So, Good Riddance.

By the way, I really like Rodgers and hope he and I can agree to disagree on this issue. I wish him well as he pursues his Independent political status.

Who is next? Billy Stokes, SRW, Mike Ragsdale? Sadly we have a lot of gutless RINO’s. Don Bosch is laughing.
