Knox County Property Assessor 2024 – Raley and her Opponents Campaign Finances

Today was the deadline for the mid year campaign financials. March 5, 2024 in the Republican Primary are seven Knox County Commission district races, four Knox County School Board races, the Knox County Law Director and the Knox County Assessor of Property race. Let’s glance at the finances of the two candidates for Assessor of Property.

Jackie Raley appointed Assessor of Property John Whitehead as her campaign treasurer on February 2, 2023, Whitehead is term limited. Raley had one of the largest, most enthusiastic kickoffs in modern history of the Knox County GOP on March 29, 2023. On July 10, 2023, Raley’s campaign financial disclosure was filed for all donations, expenditures through June 30, 2023. Raley received $107, 250 in donations, spent $5,813.78 with $101,436.22 on hand. Raley also has a $5,000 loan, Raley has received $3,740 of in-kind contributions. My friend Cathy Merrell is the first contributor to Raley on February 2, 2023, unfortunately she died a horrible death on March 13, 2023, by no fault of her own. #RallyforRaley

Raley’s opponent appointed a Treasurer on February 16, 2023, Raley’s opponent received $3,563.80, spent $1,563.49, has $2,000.31 on hand, has a loan of $2,563.49 outstanding and obligations of $1,267.21
