BREAKING NEWS: Complaint Filed Against West Knox Republican Club and Liz Tombras with Tennessee Registry of Election Finance

On February 13, 2024 a sworn complaint was filed with the Tennessee Registry of Election Finance on the West Knox Republican Club and candidate Liz Tombras.

The West Knox Republican Club has not filed a PAC report since 2013 when Christy Gentry-Gabriel was Treasurer. She is now the Vice Treasurer of the Knox County Republican Party.

On Tuesday I posted about the prospect of such a complaint here. In that post I shared screenshots of the filings on the TN Campaign Finance Report database, again I redacted the address and phone number for Gentry-Gabriel.

Below is the sworn complaint, I am redacting the complainant’s name as to avoid unnecessary bullying of the individual by any Loedown special interest. The ending of the complaint reads “the WKRC is the the primary benefactor and underwriter of the Tombras Campaign. The WKRC is acting as a rogue PAC and a pass through for dark money in the district 4 election.” The complaint goes on to beg, “please take expedient action to correct this violation before the election is irreparably altered by illegal activity.”

Any campaign that has utilized the services of WKRC and/or President Gary Loe may want to evaluate and take some precautionary remedies. Any correlation to the color orange with University of Tennessee and the TN Department of Correction is just a coincidence.

Any legitimate representatives of WVLT, WBIR, WATE, NewsTalk98.7, KnoxNews (including Georgiana Vines or Victor Ashe), KnoxFocus and/or Farragut Press I will be happy to send the complaint unredacted.
