Gretchen Wilson’s Story Detailed

The Tennessean has this excellent story about Gretchen Wilson. Many people assume that Wilson rose almost instantly to country music stardom with “Redneck Woman” the fact is she struggled for years and was part of the Nashville underground Music Mafia. Such talents as Big and Rich, Cowboy Troy, Wilson and others came out of the mafia. Wilson produced several projects before Sony Nashville (her recording label, at the time) failed to release her next project.

Wilson struggled to find her way, cut her ties with Sony Nashville and began putting herself in charge of all things. She has her focus on raising her 12 year old daughter, her own record label “Redneck Records”. She has released 2 projects already this year with a third (a Christmas project) set to release later this year.

Her latest song, “Still Rollin” is a good testimony to her and I have taken it for me as well. No matter what happens to me through my own actions or the actions of others, I just gotta keep still rollin.
