Pete Drew Picked Marshall Stair……Marshall Will Kick His BUTT

So, according to the Knox County Election Commission Pete Drew who picked up petitions for all three at large City Council positions has decided to take on incumbent Marshall Stair of Seat B. Stair with the most dollars in his campaign account. Of course he was likely looking to survive until the November 2015 election, with two candidates in the race, September 29, 2015 doesn’t really matter, because the top two advance to a November runoff.

Back in 2011, I wasn’t overall fond of Stair. However, in his service on council, Stair established himself as an independent (not like a Della Volpe, but an intelligent independent that doesn’t spend himself in a worthless cause)  Too bad Stair doesn’t live in State House District 14, he would be an exceptional replacement to Former State Representative Ryan Haynes who is now directing the TN Republican Party as it’s Chairman.

In other races,

Mayor Madeline Rogero (an unapologetic Democrat) is being challenged by perennial candidate Buck Cochran. Rogero is on par to receive 90% of the vote.

With City Council at Large Seat A one person that has paperwork to challenge George C. Wallace he has not turned the papers in yet. He would be wise NOT too.

With City Council at Large Seat C Downtown Knoxville guy Kelly Absher is challenging incumbent Finbarr Saunders and enter Pond Gap activist David Williams. Setting up a possible race in September that will eliminate one of them. I am betting that Absher and Saunders face off between September and the November runoff. Simply because Saunders and Williams base is so close too one another that Williams is eliminated from a runoff. But that is a guess a day and a half before the filing deadline.

In City Council District 5, incumbent Mark Campen (who I really have a high opinion of) has not turned in his petition. Mark are you running? That leaves Jennifer Mirtes as the only candidate today. Campen, Carly Baskette and Glenn M. Allen have paperwork in hand, what they do with it between now and 11:59:59 a.m. on Thursday June 18,2015 will determine if she is elected without opposition.

Municipal Court Judge John R. Rosson, Jr. has no one that has asked for the paperwork to oppose him. All lawyers in town are smart enough to leave Judge alone.

It appears, that the chicken democrat who phoned me in the middle of the night from a “private” number and also called my treasurer threatening us with personal information and what would happen if I didn’t drop out of the mayoral race has started his bull. When I got to my car in the morning “someone” had stolen my rear side passenger wheel and the lug nuts. Wow, is this how your peace loving democratic party deals with competition? By threats of vandalism, theft and attempted intimidation? We’ve already turned the make and plate# video over to the authorities; so next time you’re feeling your fake sense being a wanna-be thug, just wake me up again, and I will come down to address your grievance’s personally
