A School Board Candidate That Can Not Read a Map….Really!

Susan Horn, Cousin in Law to State Representative Jason Zachary in announcing her candidacy for Fifth District Knox Co School Board identified the schools that she wishes to represent. The only problem is that she left one out. You see Bluegrass Elementary School is physically in the Fifth District geographic boundaries. Fifth District candidate Lori Boudreaux knows that. Fifth District candidate Rueben Pelot knows that because his subdivision borders Bluegrass School. Even the KnoxSchools website identify Bluegrass School as one represented by the current school board member.

The Facebook Post Announcement that failed to identify Bluegrass Elementary School as her priority for representation.

If candidate Horn can not or refuses to do the sufficient homework to understand the boundaries of the district that she hopes to represent, how can fifth district residents know that she will do adequate enough homework to represent the district? Is the candidate only expecting that her cousin in law will get her elected? Is the candidate only going to accept a vote cheat sheet before each meeting based on an agenda of being an anti McIntyre vote? Immediately out of the gate the candidate is either lazy,  incompetent or both. Either way, she is not a serious candidate for the voters consideration. More on this race and this candidate is sure to follow.

  1. PTA'er says:

I just saw that her dad (Doug) has printed a big story on the front of his Farragut Press paper. I knew you would have the unvarnished truth. Why is she portraying herself as a Republican when her dad as TN Democrat Chairman.

I have served on the PTA’s that she says that she served. She only does it for publicity and she supports vouchers and charter schools and talks negatively about public school.
