Rep. Gloria Johnson, You Are Not a Member of the Majority Party!

It seems there is a lot of whining coming from Newly installed State Representative Gloria Johnson over her committee assignments. She is on Agriculture & Natural Resources. I can see where she could really help her district with agriculturical issues. She also got assigned to the Health Committee. Surely, she advocates for all Tennesseans to be healthy. As an educator surely she cn provide some expertise to childhood obesity.

Why all the whining about not being on the Education Committee? She ain’t a member of the Super Majority Party of the State House and Senate..

  1. The Shadow says:

Wasn’t she on WBIR stating how she would be looking into special education teachers taking Praxis tests in order to remain qualified?

Following the race fairly closely, I don’t recall the job requirements for special education teachers being stated by EITHER campaign as a priority for the district.

It would also seem to me to be direct conflict of interest for her to serve on the Education Committee while being employed as a special education teacher for Knox County schools.

Does anyone know if she is being paid a full time salary by Knox County Schools while she is in NASHVILLE?
