Does the Law Director Lack Confidence in his Staff?

Gerald Witt over at the Big Metal Shed on the Hill reports that beginning tonight the Law Director Richard “Bud” Armstrong will begin supervising and the legal counsel to the Board of Education at every meeting.

Armstrong had assigned David Sanders to the task for the past two years and Armstrong states that because of recent board incidents he feels compelled to become the legal counsel and third party supervisor for the board. To many observers that seems to be a vote of no confidence in Sanders and the remaining licensed attorneys on staff in the law department. David Buuck, the right hand to Armstrong was at the A.J. Building before the meeting began and the perception could be derived that because Buuck wasn’t assigned the task, his boss Armstrong has no vote of his confidence in his ability to perform the task.
